Terms of Use

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply to the Radius mobile app and the radiushealth.app website (together, “Radius”). By using Radius you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

What Radius is — and is not

Radius republishes and summarizes official public data: restaurant inspection records published by city health departments, and food recall notices published by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. We reformat that data and explain it in plain English.

  • Radius is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any health department, the FDA, or the USDA.
  • Inspection data is a snapshot of one moment. A grade or score describes what an inspector observed on a particular date — not the conditions in a restaurant today.
  • Our one-sentence “verdicts” and severity descriptions are Radius’s editorial reading of the official record. They are a reading aid, not an official rating, and not a health, safety, or medical judgment.
  • The absence of a recall or violation is not evidence that a product or restaurant is safe.
  • Source data may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors we cannot detect. Always consult the official source, which we link on every page, before relying on anything you read here.

Radius is provided for general information only. Do not use it as a substitute for professional medical advice, and if you believe you have a foodborne illness, contact a healthcare provider and report it to your local health department.

Radius Pro subscriptions

Some features require Radius Pro, an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Food recall information is never behind the subscription.

  • Price and any free-trial length are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are governed by Apple’s policies and requested through Apple, not through us.

Acceptable use

Please don’t scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute Radius content, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it to harass a business or an individual. The underlying government data is public and you are free to obtain it from its original source, which we always cite.

Availability and changes

Radius depends on third-party government data feeds. Coverage varies by city, and features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We may update these terms; when we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Radius is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Radius and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or the data it presents.
